A huge international team of researchers conducted a detailed study of 135,335 individuals between the ages of 35 and 70 years old in 18 different countries.
The scientist's goal was to find out if there really was a direct link with consumption of fats with heart disease and early death.
The end result was published in August of 2017 and it was unbelievably surprising…
… it turned out that those who AVOIDED fats died sooner than those who ate butter, cheese, and meats.
And get this: LOW-fat diets increased the risk of early death by almost 25%.
In fact, those who ingested lower levels of saturated fats... normally considered the WORST of all fats… increased their risk of early death, while those who ate LOTS of saturated fats slashed their chances of mortality by 23%.
This graph shows how much obesity rates have skyrocketed ever since the Low Fat guidelines were published way back in 1977.
Lead researcher Dr. Mahshid Dehghan spelled it out like this:
"Higher intake of fats, including saturated fats, are
associated with lower risk of mortality."
